TV tonight: 'Office,' 'Last Resort,' 'Grey's'

30 Rock/The Office
NBC, 8/9 ET/PT
Two NBC Thursday stalwarts begin their final runs tonight, 30 Rock at 8 and then The Office at 9. Both are past their ratings peak - if they weren't, they wouldn't be leaving. And both are far past their creative peak (The Office even more so than 30 Rock), as is also the rule rather than the exception with long-running shows in their final seasons. At their peak, though, they provided some very funny moments; whether tonight's episodes, with Liz exploring motherhood options on 30 Rock and Dwight battling lice on The Office, match those moments remains to be seen.
ABC, 8 ET/PT
The majority of TV shows, of course, never get a chance to run too long. Most don't even run a full season, such as this ABC adventure, which is back tonight, but will be gone for good by the end of the month. The small bit of good news for fans is that the show's writers were given time to produce an actual finale, so viewers won't be stuck wondering whether the submarine crew ever gets off that island. You get a step closer to that answer tonight, as a Washington coup shifts island alliances.
ABC, 9 ET/PT
You didn't really think Bailey's wedding was going to go smoothly, did you? Though chances are you didn't think she'd leave her fiancé waiting at the altar while she rushed off to operate on Adele (guest star Loretta Devine). Can either Adele or this not-yet-marriage be saved? Odds are the answer is "no," for one if not both, but Grey's has defied the odds before, so we'll see.
